Abstract Landscape Painting

This class includes all the traditional elements of landscape, but takes the study a step further.  We will take our easels outside to set up in the natural and beautiful environment of our many local parks and recreation areas to make oil sketches, take photographs and collect visual information. Once we have gathered this source material, we will take it, and our memories of the real world, our sense of the places and elements that inspired us while in the field, to the studio and use all this information to make exciting and compelling abstract landscapes. / This class will have a one-hour lunch break. / Materials fee of $5 in addition to course tuition. / Open to students ages 18 and above. / View complete policies.
