Advanced Children's Book Illustration

In this advanced class, students will continue to explore and develop their illustration work for the picture book and children’s market. Further study of stronger character design and development will be pursued while integrating that into one's visual storytelling narratives. Assignments will be given to further each student's' individual work toward assembling a full portfolio of work for this industry. Both narrative assignments and more commercial based projects will be assigned. / Open to students ages 18 and above. / View complete policies.

What to bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook. A complete list of suggested materials will be discussed during the first class meeting.

Prerequisite: Previous drawing and painting experience are helpful but not required. Taking the Children's Book Illustration class first would be helpful.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
