Advanced Watercolor: Mastering the Medium (Online)

This class is designed to function as a continuation of an entry level watercolor class such as Introduction to Watercolor. Advanced Watercolor: Mastering the Medium will expand students' beginner level watercolor skills through a rigorous curriculum and one-on-one guidance. Each weekly meeting will include both technical demonstrations of a variety of watercolor techniques, as well as individual critique and instruction.

In addition to advanced techniques, there will be a heavy focus on useful and thorough critiques to help students develop their own individual watercolor style. Strategies for generating visual content, expressing ideas, investigating themes, and solidifying meaning in one's artwork will also be covered. Students will leave this class with further refinement and development of their watercolor skills, and personal watercolor style. / Open to students ages 18 and above. View complete policies.

This online course will be synchronous, meaning students will meet together online. Class meetings will be conducted via Zoom and will include lectures, demonstrations, discussions, exercises, work time, critiques, and time to ask questions and share resources. The Instructor will schedule office hours throughout the course.
