Title:
Digital Goes Analog
Price:
$242.00

As computer programs like Adobe Photoshop continue to evolve, the ways to create screens for printmaking become almost limitless. This hands-on class will start in the computer lab, where students will learn techniques for image creation, set up print-ready files, and make positives for their prints. Layers in Photoshop correspond so perfectly with layers in screenprinting! The last four weeks will be in the printmaking studio, where students will turn their digitally-created positives into screenprints. Depending on the complexity of the projects, students will have the opportunity to spend time outside of class in the printmaking studio. Students will leave the class with at least one multi-layer screenprint and ideas for more. This class is suitable for beginning screenprinters who have used Photoshop before. Intermediate and advanced screenprinters who want some time and guidance to work on projects are also welcome in the class. / Materials fee of $25 and Facilities fee of $30 in addition to course tuition. / Open to students age 18 and above. / View complete policies.
