Figure Drawing (Online)

This class focuses on developing specific skills which will help you depict the human form with more accuracy and sensitivity. A series of distinct assignments will address gesture, building with constructs, line and value, angular measurement, proportion, and subtractive and additive modeling. The studio practice will be supported and enhanced through a brief study of figurative art history, as well as supportive and constructive critiques. As the course progresses, the instructor will encourage each student to strengthen both their observational and their creative skills. / Open to students ages 18 and above. View complete policies.

This online course will be a combination of synchronous and asynchronous. Students will meet together online for synchronous class meetings on Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. (CST) via Zoom.
