In this 3-week workshop, students learn best practices for group critique, and practice critiquing one another's work. All makers, media, and creative practices are welcome. Students learn reasons behind conducting critique, how to cultivate a growth mindset, methods for crafting a group agreement, how to effectively give and receive feedback, and ways to navigate sensitive conversations. This class is aimed at people who have completed a bachelor's degree, especially those who might be considering graduate study at some point in the future. / Open to students ages 18 and above. This online course will have a weekly synchronous meeting using Google Meet on Tuesdays from 6:30–8:00 p.m. CST. The course is project-based, with 2 to 3 deadlines per week. Course activities may include readings; video demonstrations and tutorials; online discussions; projects; and critiques. The workload of this course is roughly 8-10 hours per week, whether the course is being taken for credit or noncredit. 

Required hardware: A computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access, a camera, and microphone for class meetings and to capture and upload work.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
