Since the days of MTV and now via channels like Youtube, music videos have grown into short films that bridge together the energy of music with visual narratives. In this dynamic and engaging class, students will learn and practice the three aspects of music video production: pre-production (visual storyboarding); production (cinematography, lighting and directing); and post-production (Adobe Premiere Pro editing software). Each of these three steps will provide students with hands-on experience covering the all the roles of a production team and create a group music video to share with family and friends. / Materials fee of $5 in addition to class tuition. / Open to students ages 12–15. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. / View complete policies here.

Prerequisite: Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop are helpful but not required. What to bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook; USB drive or cloud storage option for saving work; headphones or earbuds.

What to wear: Comfortable clothing for film production.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.

Class Savings: Register for more than one class at a time and receive $25 off each additional class (same-day registrations only).
