Title:
Painting for Illustrators: Water-Based Media (Online)
Instructor:
Price:
$205.00

Water-based media is heavily used in contemporary illustration and design. Watercolor, ink, gouache, and acrylic can be challenging to those new to the media. Each of these media have their own distinct characteristics but also share some similarities. In this course, students will work through some of the more difficult aspects of painting with water-based media and will learn skills and techniques used when applying them into illustration. Students will have the freedom to explore artistic interests within large concepts. Illustration requires artists to ideate, sketch, and then move into large paintings. Weekly illustration assignments will be given to provide time to practice and apply using techniques demonstrated in class. / Open to students ages 18 and above. View complete policies.

This online course will be a combination of synchronous and asynchronous. Synchronous class meetings on Mondays from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm (CST) via Google Meet for demonstrations, discussions, and critiques. 60 minutes office hours will follow for questions and one-on-one meetings with the Instructor.
