Title:
Pop-ups, Foldovers, Attachments, and Assemblage (Paper Sculpture) (On Campus)
Instructor:
Price:
$200.00

Students in this class learn a traditional paper construction technique each day--origami, pop-up, cutting, and folding paper templates. Students watch short videos of paper artists working and view photographic examples of unique paper sculptures. Students may wish to work large or small. They may choose to create architectural sculptures based on the human made world using geometric forms or design and create organic work inspired by the natural world. Students are encouraged to think about paper sculpture as a stand-alone work of art and as wearable art, like costume or jewelry. Students will use simple, safe tools and paper as the main media. / Open to students ages 9–12. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. / View complete registration policies. Please read complete summer camp information and policies before completing your registration. View MCAD’s Summer Youth Covid protocols and policies.*
