Powerful Portraits (On Campus)
Instructor:
Price:
$200.00

Let's face it, making portraits is lots of fun! In this exciting week, students will explore what it takes to create a realistic portrait. We'll learn about spacing facial features, how to draw realistic looking eyes, and different head shapes. We'll practice drawing using the new skills and dive deeper by applying these ideas into creating sculptural relief portraits out of different mysterious materials! We'll learn from artists such as Frida Kahlo, Chuck Close, and Kara Walker. If possible we'll go to the Minneapolis Institute of Art for more inspiration, as well. / Open to students ages 9–12.
