Pre-College Studio Intensive: Drawing and Painting

This class focuses on the majors of drawing and painting. Students will work in MCAD's professional and expansive drawing and painting classrooms to hone their skills and define their creative vision. Using traditional drawing and painting media, teens will get the chance to explore the wide range of techniques used by fine artists today. Participants will work from observation to add advanced work to their portfolios. / Professional nude models will be used in this class. / Students will have a 30 minute campus-based unsupervised lunch. / Materials fee of $100 in addition to class tuition. / Open to students ages 15–18. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. / View complete policies here.

Prerequisite: Previous drawing experience. Previous painting experience helpful, but not required.

What to bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook. Please bring a packed lunch each day.

What to wear: Clothes appropriate for messy creativity. Dress in layers.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
