Pre-College Weekend Intensive: Photography

Experience an MCAD studio class in a two-day, hands-on intensive. Over one weekend, students will work on a photography project with assistance from instructors, along with demonstrations, guest artist discussions about studio practice and careers, and an information session with admission counselors about portfolio development. This class is an opportunity for young artists to learn and work in an immersive studio class environment. / Open to students ages 15–18. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. / View complete policies.

Prerequisite: Working knowledge of Mac OS X. Experience with Adobe Photoshop is helpful, but not required.

What to bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook; USB drive or cloud storage option for saving work; digital camera such as a point-and-shoot or Digital SLR camera are helpful, but not required, cell phone cameras are allowed; packed lunch.

What to wear: Comfortable clothes.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
Class Savings
Register on or before January 18 and save $25.
Register for more than one class at a time and receive $25 off each additional class (same-day registrations only).
