Do you feel lacking in your knowledge of basic print production? Do you want to learn what the heck a Pantone color is? Print Foundation focuses on helping you form a basic understanding of what it takes to design for print. Using the Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), you will learn the various aspects of prepress and print production such as color management, bleeds, image resolution, preflighting, proofing methods, and RGB vs. CMYK vs. Pantone usage. / Each student will have access throughout the class to a lab workstation equipped with the latest software. / Materials fee of $50 for a group project in addition to course tuition. Expect to spend additional funds on individual printing projects / Open to students ages 18 and above. / View complete policies.

Prerequisite: Working knowledge of Mac OS X. Intermediate knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

What to bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook. A complete list of suggested materials will be discussed during the first class meeting.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
