Printmaking Foundations

Have you always wanted to learn about printmaking, but never knew where to begin? Printmaking Foundations is the perfect course for you! It is an introductory course that will cover the basics of three of the most popular and exciting forms of printmaking: monoprinting, relief printing, and intaglio. Students who complete this course will have the tools they need to work safely and successfully in MCAD’s printshop and be qualified to take Open Edition as well as other advanced printmaking courses MCAD offers. Please note: screenprinting will not be covered in this course. / Facilities fee of $105 and materials fee of $25 in addition to class tuition. / Open to students ages 16 and above. / View complete policies.

Prerequisites: Previous drawing experience helpful, but not required.

What to bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook. A complete list of suggested materials will be discussed during the first class meeting.

What to wear: Clothes appropriate for messy creativity. Close-toed shoes are required.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
