Printmaking for Music

This class will introduce teens to printmaking and the variety of ways it has been used by musicians and bands over the years. The class will focus on relief and screenprinting techniques. These two techniques have been most utilized by bands to publicize shows, create merchandise, and further the band's artistic vision through album, cd, and cassette covers. Students will be encouraged to create their own designs inspired by their favorite musicians and bands and will have the opportunity to develop and execute their own prints. Each student will leave the class with a variety of prints as well as an original band t-shirt of their own design. Demonstrations will be given in all areas. / Facilities fee of $25 and materials fee of $30 in addition to class tuition. / Open to students ages 12–15. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. / View complete policies here.
