Snap! Smartphone Photography Family Weekend Camp (Online)

Explore the fun of photography in this weekend camp! Adults and kids will work together to learn the basics of photography while taking pictures of the world around them on a phone camera. Students will focus on composition, portraiture and humor in photography. Editing tips will also be given within the phone’s photo app capacity. Students will share their photography at the end of the weekend. / Open to students ages 6–12 and their families/caregivers. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. Tuition is per family. / View complete registration policies. This virtual class will meet daily from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m via Google Meet. The instructor will offer optional office hours in the afternoon. The morning meetings will consist of demonstrations, technique lessons, discussions, class activities, opportunities for students to ask questions, and check-ins. Students will be expected to work independently on projects outside of class.

Required hardware: A computer, tablet or smartphone with internet access, a camera, and microphone for class meetings and to capture and upload work; 

Required supplies for the first class: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook; headphones or earbuds; phone with camera capabilities.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
