This course empowers artists to investigate the power of storytelling through drawing and mixed media. Artists will engage in different strategies and methods of storytelling, from personal narrative to absurdist imaginings, to comics. Through short writing activities, games, and collaboration, artists will take ownership of their learning journeys and make choices to develop their own unique style. Using a variety of drawing and collage materials, artists will build skills and investigate new possibilities in creative expression. / Open to students ages 6–9. What to wear: Clothes appropriate for messy creativity.
