User Experience (UX) Design and the Mobile App

Utilize User Experience (UX) Design practices to conceptualize a mobile app. Explore a variety of techniques and methodology including, but not limited to, wireframing, prototyping, card sorting, and a variety of testing methods. A deeper examination of prototyping tools and testing methods will lead to a stronger understanding of how UX is used in product development and utilized in a variety of settings, such as mobile apps or UI design. Work through testing, designing an app via wireframes, and both paper and clickable prototyping.

Classes will include lectures, discussions, and studio time fitting to the projects throughout the course. The outcome of this class will be a case study on a mobile app suitable for a portfolio.
