Explore the role prototyping plays in influencing the user experience. Learn about different ways to prototype, from basic paper models through light digital solutions. Learn how to take the prototype code already generated in previous courses and start "light coding" to enhance the motion, bringing it beyond the "out of the box" viewpoint. In addition to creating prototypes, learn how to manage the user testing of prototypes and how to capture and interpret user feedback.

This course will build on the skills learned in Introduction to UX, UX Design and the Mobile App and UX Design Systems and the Screen. This course is part of the UX certificate, the fourth of four courses. / No class on October 9. / Each student will have access throughout the class to a lab workstation equipped with the latest software. / Open to students ages 18 and above. / View complete policies.

Prerequisite: Introduction to User Experience Design, User Experience Design and the Mobile App, and User Experience Design Systems and the Screen or equivalent UX experience with instructor approval. Working knowledge of Mac OS X, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, HTML, and CSS is strongly recommended. Previous experience with Adobe Dreamweaver is helpful, but not required.

What to bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook; USB drive or cloud storage option for saving work.
