With the disruptions that have taken place over the last two weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that students may have been impacted financially and may lack resources for some of their basic needs.

For that reason, we have set up the Emergency Student Assistance Fund, generously supported by a group of board members and loyal friends of MCAD, that is now available to current MCAD students. This fund provides limited emergency financial assistance to students who are unable to meet essential expenses due to the hardship relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Examples of Qualifying Emergency Reasons:

  • Assistance with Rent
  • Assistance with Food
  • Assistance with Transportation
  • Assistance with Medical Expense
  • Assistance with Academic Needs

Because this fund is limited and finite, award amounts will vary based on need and availability. The amount requested may not be the final amount awarded. The maximum request is $500. A response to the request may take up to two business days. In order to receive the funds, you must have e-refund set up. If you feel that you are eligible for these funds, please use this link to complete the Student Emergency Assistance Form

We are deeply grateful to those individuals who made this fund possible and hope this new resource will bring some relief to those students who are experiencing the greatest financial hardships.

All my best,
Sanjit Sethi
