Discover the significance of Minnesota Agates through watercolor painting. In this free online workshop, the instructor, artist Chelsea Novotny, will discuss the formation and collection of agates. Participants will explore line, color, and texture in watercolor painting by observing these rock formations and learning watercolor techniques. Beginners and experienced painters are invited to participate in this workshop.

Supplies needed:

  • Paint brush (large and small round preferred)
  • Watercolor paints and palette
  • Watercolor paper
  • Tape
  • Water
  • Paper towel
  • Household salt
  • Optional: Hairdryer (not necessary, but might be helpful)
