Faculty Title Instructor Degree Current Career Journalist, Photographer, and Publisher Lauri Lyons '93 is a journalist, photographer, and publisher. She is the author of Flag: An American Story and Flag International. She was also the commissioned portrait photographer for the book INSPIRATION: Profiles of Black Women Changing Our World. Her photography work includes celebrity portraits, ad campaigns, documentaries, and exhibitions. Lyons has served as a faculty member and guest lecturer for the International Center of Photography, New School for Social Research, and the Rhode Island School of Design. Early in her career, Lyons was a photo editor for several magazines and agencies including Essence, The Source, and Magnum Photos. She was also a contributing blogger for the Huffington Post. Lyons is now the founder of Nomads Magazine, an online travel publication and podcast.
