Margaret McGee-Newton is a figurative sculptor who works in wood and mixed media. She was awarded a 2009 Minnesota State Arts Board Grant and a 2002/03 McKnight Foundation Fellowship for Visual Artists. She regularly exhibits her sculptural work around the Twin Cities, and her pieces won blue and yellow ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair in 2012 and 2008, respectively. 

In addition to teaching liberal arts courses, McGee is also the director of the MCAD Learning Center.
