MCAD’s yearly Art Sale was better than ever this year, with current students and alumni turning out roughly 7,300 works of art.

The MCAD Art Sale is a chance for students to gain experience in selling their artwork and attain exposure for themselves. Framed photographs, screenprints, and paintings are hung high on the walls of MCAD, sculptures are put on display, and comic book artists and illustrators have their own area known as Artists' Alley where attendees can talk to them about their work and get on-the-spot comissions.

The MCAD Art Sale is a spectacular event that has been highly lauded. Check out what the excited attendees have to say about their new purchases from the Art Sale!

“I was drawn to the words and as I kept looking at it, texture was definitely something that kept drawing me in. I stood and looked at this for ten minutes and I never do that.”

“I loved talking to the artist and getting to know them. I just think it’s really cute to have a hand-drawn illustration of myself that was made in the moment.”

[Left]: “I’m an art history student and I like the combination of neoclassical with pop art and they’re two of my favorite art styles.”
Art Sale Buyer
“I like the movement and I like green!”
Art Sale Buyer
“It’s talking about the symbolism of the hats and it’s political. I like this type of print and the dark blacks. And I wanted to get some of my student’s work.”
