Hend Al-Mansour ’02, MFA, is showcasing her work at St. Barnabas Center for the Arts. The exhibit showcases forty-six tapestries, paintings, and screenprints that focus on the Islamic culture.

Al-Mansour describes her work as being “an expression and synthesis of a strong consciousness of gender inequality and the profound influence of the rich creative women’s culture” of her childhood in Saudi Arabia. Her art is influenced by Islamic architecture, Arabic geometric design and calligraphy, and Arabesque patterns.
