Faculty member Jessica M. Dandona, PhD, has received four fellowships to support her research sabbatical next year.

She has been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Grant to undertake research at the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom for one year; a Short-Term Research Grant to undertake research at the Huntington Library, in Pasadena, CA, for one month; the Dr. Edward H. Bensley Osler Library Research Travel Grant to undertake research at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, for two weeks; and a Franklin Travel Grant from the American Philosophical Society to undertake research in Paris for one month. Dandona plans to research forms of medical visualization at the end of the 19th century, focusing on the representation of the bodies of women and infants in French, American, and British visual culture.
