Plaque on the bench dedicated to Bill Doi

One of MCAD's oldest alum (101 years old!) Bil Doi was presented a bench in his name at the Roseville’s Cedarholm Golf Course in honor of his work for the Nikkei Project. Doi, despite his age, still plays a few rounds of golf at the Cedarholm Golf Course and was a founding member of the Nikkei Project, which began in 1978. The nonprofit organization works to serve seniors of Japanese descent who live in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.

In the Lillie news article, it describes Doi's reaction to the bench by saying, "he was surprised by the bench and that it was 'really something.' 'I certainly never expected something like this, nor think I deserve this,' he said."
