Work by Jonathan Herrera

Jonathan Herrera ’17 is a recipient of the fifteenth Jerome Emerging Printmakers Residency.

Recipients are given nine months of access to the Highpoint Center for Printmaking's fully-equipped printshop as well as technical support, critiques with arts professionals, a stipend for supplies, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative workshop environment that encourages experimentation and growth. The program will conclude in May 2018 with a group show featuring work created by the artists during their residency.

During his residency, Herrera plans to employ a variety of processes, including lithography, screenprinting, relief, and monotype to create a print-based series that focuses on collective and individual narratives regarding the loss of identity and the loss of life.
