HOTTEA (aka Eric Rieger ’07) has been named a 2017 Trailblazer by the Growler.

Before harnessing the non-destructive take on street art he's known for today, HOTTEA was a traditional spraypaint graffiti artist. After a few brushes with the law, he came up with the idea to use yarn instead. He has now been using his signature technique to brighten up cities for over a decade.

His "yarn bombs" started as works on chain link fences and have since blossomed to more than seventy large-scale installations. His work has been shown worldwide and he has an impressive clientele that includes Converse, Sesame Street, New York Fashion Week, and the Mall of America.
