Carla Rodriguez ’11 is presenting new work based in the tintype photography process for her debut solo exhibition titled Nothing is Permanent || Everything is Temporary.

Rodriguez points the time-abundant medium of tintype on the objects and dashes of humanity that alter quickest: plants, bodies, vulnerability, pain. These are the spaces beings inhabit for a time and move through. In this exhibition, Rodriguez explores themes of mortality and challenges narratives of masculinity as dominance. Nothing is Permanent || Everything is Temporary asks viewers to move through their own internal temporary spaces through the vulnerability and hospitality of the artist.
