RevolutionXXXV by Amy Sands

Faculty member Amy Sands currently has work on view in the solo exhibition Portal at the Rourke Art Museum. “My art originates in my interest of the day-to-day experiences influenced by color, pattern and space, and how this is recorded in memory,” says Sands. “Lace and craft doilies of family heritage serve as a vantage point for my work.”

Sands also received the Juror's Choice Award at the Awagami International Miniature Print exhibition in Tokushima, Japan. The show, at Awagami’s Hall of Awa Japanese Handmade Paper Museum, featured over a thousand mini prints submitted from artists across fifty-four countries.

On view until February 18
