Jared Tuttle ’14 was featured in an article of Adobe Create that took a look at his freelance art practice and tattoo-inspired illustration style.

Tuttle moves effortlessly among four interrelated fields: brand identities, illustration, typography, and graphic design. His style is defined by linework and a restrained color palette that evokes a regal, classical feeling mixed with magic realism. “It’s badass yet beautiful, meticulous yet surreal, organic yet graphic. It has a darker side,” says Tuttle.

After graduating from MCAD, Tuttle worked in a tattoo apprenticeship before shifting into a full-time independent illustration and design practice. Since then, he's worked with a diverse range of clients while still creating personal work in projects such as Gold Fever, a series on the interconnectivity of nature that explores a new personal illustration style.
