Experiential/Installation Direction

What is your favorite thing about your job?

That I continue to learn and can solve new problems.

Why did you choose your major and what were your major classes like?

I didn't want to specialize in a narrow field. I think the required courses for web and multimedia environments in installation or coding were really great in allowing you to bring in what you learned in elective studio courses like filmmaking and design while adding another layer of skill or conceptual thinking.

How did MCAD prepare you for life after graduation?

MCAD was helpful in giving me a talented creative network.

How do you find inspiration when you are feeling stuck?

I put what I'm stuck on in the back of my head for awhile and do something I enjoy like going for a bike ride through the city or reading.

Current obsession?

Always puppies

What advice do you have for art/design students?

Take courses outside your major. Keep learning and making after you graduate.

Where did you intern?

Pixel Farm

Has your work evolved since leaving MCAD?

Yes, I went on to do a master's in design interactions at Royal College of Art in London. It was a niche program that expanded on topics I worked with at MCAD. The topics I focused on with my work during my time in MCAD are the same but I feel like I have a deeper understanding of my work's context.
