The Power of Empathy [15 mn]
by Anita Nowak at TEDxMontrealWomen

Empathy is the most positively disruptive force on the planet -- but only when it leads to Empathic Action. In this talk, we will explore how empathy can be leveraged for the ultimate win-win: personal well-being and social good.

Questions for reflection:

Spend some time reflecting on these questions and consider writing about what emerges for you. You can also use these questions to prompt discussions with your colleagues, friends, and family.

  • How might Empathic Action contribute to Delivering The Good Life?
  • Do you consider yourself to be empathic? In what ways?

Taking action: How might you use what you learn?

Take these actions to help solidify and make use of what you've just learned. You can also use these questions to prompt discussions with your colleagues, friends, and family.

  • List three scenarios where you could have contributed to Delivering The Good Life had you engaged in Empathic Action (but didn’t).
  • List three upcoming scenarios where engaging in Empathic Action might contribute to Delivering The Good Life.
