Melissa Licht is a teacher and learner in contemporary literature and culture. After graduating with honors in English and psychology, she continued her studies with a PhD in comparative literature at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities. She has taught courses in essay writing, literature, literary and psychoanalytical theory, public life and ethics, and visions of nature and politics. Her dissertation and ongoing research focuses on soldiers' memoirs and film representations of war.
