Dive into the world of insects! Create distinctive, colorful, and engaging bugs, beetles, and butterflies through drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and sculpture. Learn how naturalists and artists showcase insects and create an enchanting collection of creepy crawlers and beautiful bugs. Ages 9–12 Students use a variety of art mediums such as paint, paper collage, chalk, pastels, foil painting, and polymer clay to create unique insect creations. Paint bug bodies in a rainbow of colors, draw butterflies or moths in flight, and sculpt incredible insects from MN to the tropical rainforest. Learn how to label your insect creations to highlight their unique features, and explore a variety of display possibilities.
