Introduction to Adobe After Effects (in person)

Adobe After Effects is one of the world’s leading programs for motion graphics, animation, and video production. Learn the essentials of the software regardless of previous experience.

The software allows artists to create amazing graphics, animated titles, and even 3D visual effects. Lessons include fundamentals of After Effects, graphic layers, animating simple objects and text as well as some techniques that professional visual effects teams use to make amazing visuals for movies. / Students will have access to Adobe Creative Cloud software throughout the course.

Open to students ages 18 and above. Review complete policies, including class cancellation policies, before completing your registration.

Prerequisites

Previous experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro is helpful, but not required.

Required materials

Supplies for the first class
Pen or pencil, notebook or sketchbook, USB drive or cloud storage option for saving work.

Hardware
Students will have access to Adobe Creative Cloud software. If students want to use this software at home, they will need a computer capable of running Adobe software.

Class resources
This class uses Adobe Creative Cloud and Canvas, MCAD’s learning management system. Please see the link for more information.

Class Savings

Register on or before May 13 and save $25.
