Pre-College Studio Intensive: Graphic Design (in person)

In this 4 day intensive, high school students explore the major of graphic design.

Learn to combine text and graphics in support of a message. Gain technical skills in Adobe Creative suite, the program used by professional designers. Participate in hands-on projects to create work that adds depth and variety to student portfolios. / This class will have an unsupervised 30 minute lunch break. / Students will have access to Adobe Creative Cloud software throughout the class. / This class does not meet on Wednesday. / Material fee of $40 included in course tuition.

Open to students ages 15-18. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions. Please review our complete Teen Policies as well as our General Policies prior to completing your registration.

Prerequisites

Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are helpful, but not required.

Required materials

Supplies for first class

  • pen or pencil
  • notebook or sketchbook
  • USB drive or cloud storage option for saving work
  • packed lunch each day, no nuts

The materials fee for this class will cover the required supplies.

Hardware
Students will have access to Adobe Creative Cloud software. If students want to use this software at home, they will need a computer capable of running Adobe software.
