In this fun and exciting workshop, use plant materials as stencils to create stunning one-of-a-kind images. Roll slabs of colorful ink onto plates, arrange plant materials, add damp paper and run it through the press to create dramatic monotype prints. Students may continue to add more materials to create layered prints or start fresh with a new monoprint. All the results are surprising and unexpected, inspiring more ideas. Learn about mixing and rolling out inks, basic color theory, the concept of pochoir, or stencil, the flexibility of composition, and the strengths and uses of different papers.
