MCAD Continuing Education Student Information
Welcome to Continuing Education!
We look forward to you joining us this semester. Whether it is your first time on campus or you have joined us previously, please review the following information in preparation for your upcoming course at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Syllabi and class material list will be supplied at the first class meeting. Please also review online class listings for any materials that you should bring to the first class meeting.
If you have any questions concerning your class, please contact Continuing Education.
Mon–Fri 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
No cost street parking is available on Stevens avenue adjacent to the campus. Please note that Winter Parking restrictions are currently in effect in Minneapolis, which means that students must park on the odd side of Stevens Avenue (the side MCAD is located on). Parking on the even side of Stevens Avenue is currently prohibited. Cars may remain parked on Stevens Avenue for an unlimited length of time, however.
Parking is also available in the MCAD surface lot accessible from 26th street (a one-way street traveling west). If you wish to park in this surface lot during the spring and fall semesters (parking is free during the summer semester), you must purchase a parking pass. Credit card/cash is not accepted and you will be unable to enter the lot without a parking pass. The cost is $0.25 per hour from 7:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., Mon.–Fri., and $0.15 per hour at all other times.
$5.00 stored value parking passes may be purchased online.
*Please Note: All parking passes are mailed via postal mail. Please allow at least 4 days for shipping of your pass. Passes purchased the same day as the start date of the class will not arrive in time. Students whose classes begin tonight or within a time frame that does not allow for a sufficient amount of shipping time may purchase a parking pass in person at the MCAD Art Cellar the night of class. The Art Cellar is located on the first floor of the Morrison Building.
Access complete parking information here.
Checkout privileges are available to Continuing Education students for a semester fee of $20. Students enrolled in a Continuing Education class for credit do not have to pay this semester fee.
The Service Bureau provides color and black-and-white copies and laser prints, high quality color inkjet prints, scanning, digital archiving, and DVD creation at an affordable price.
MCAD's computer labs and advanced production studios come equipped with the latest hardware and software technology to support your project needs.
