David Goldes’s work in photography builds on historical advances in scientific research and investigates these discoveries in relationship to an experience of wonder within quotidian life.

His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is included in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Art Institute of Chicago, among other institutions. He was the subject of a MN Original PBS profile, and he is the recipient of a Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship, a National Endowment for the Arts, two Bush Foundation fellowships, and six McKnight Foundation fellowships.
