Howard Quednau

Howard Quednau has exhibited nationally and internationally. Trained as a printmaker, he has since exhibited mostly paintings, and in recent years, 3D dioramas.

His work is included in various collections, including the Kemper corporation, Chicago; Del Mar College, Texas; and Concordia University, Minnesota. Recent exhibitions include the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson Wisconsin and Metro State University in St. Paul.

Quednau has lectured at a symposium on critique in Washington, D.C., and in a fourteenth-century castle in County Claire, Ireland. He has been a juror for the Minnesota Scholastic Art Competition, the Uptown Art Fair, and the Minnesota State Fair.

He was a 2013 McKnight Fellowship finalist and is currently the chair of MCAD's Fine Arts Department.
