Howard Quednau

Howard Quednau has exhibited nationally and internationally. Trained as a printmaker, he has since exhibited mostly paintings, and in recent years, 3D dioramas.

His work is included in various collections, including the Kemper corporation, Chicago; Del Mar College, Texas; and Concordia University, Minnesota. Recent exhibitions include the 2014 Minnesota Museum of American Art Biennial and shows at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wisconsin, and Metro State University in St. Paul.

Quednau has lectured at a symposium on critique in Washington, D.C., and in a fourteenth-century castle in County Claire, Ireland. He has been a juror for the Minnesota Scholastic Art Competition, the Uptown Art Fair, and the Minnesota State Fair.

He was a 2013 McKnight Fellowship finalist and is currently the chair of MCAD's Fine Arts Department.
