Michelle Lee Lagerroos has been teaching printmaking workshops to adults at MCBA and MCAD since 2012. She has a background in publishing, works as a wrangler of two young children by day and a book designer/screenprinter/printmaking instructor by night, and is the screen printer behind Angry Peanut Press. Angry Peanut Press found its vision when Lee Lagerroos' tiny daughter insisted on wearing a “Goridda” shirt every day. Tiring of washing that gorilla shirt, Lee Lagerroos realized she had a skill that could be incredibly useful. Within a week, she printed several gorilla shirts, and getting her daughter dressed became fun and easy. While her work has been shown locally at places such as the State Fair Fine Arts show, Altered Esthetics, and MCBA, she also loves simply making screenprints and giving them to people.
