Staci Cravens is an artist and educator based out of Minneapolis, MN. Cravens’ holds a B.A in Studio Arts and an M.E.d in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, with a concentration on K-12 visual arts.

Cravens’ personal work as an artist dives into multiple mediums such as painting, drawing, printmaking and ceramics. She explores themes and symbols related to elements from nature, and emotion in her work. Cravens also enjoys abstract and surreal painting techniques with a close attention to color relationships.

During the school year, Cravens teaches secondary visual arts in a public school setting. Her philosophy of art-making is that creativity and self-expression are vital to human development. She believes that quality art education should be accessible and inclusive to students of various backgrounds and identities. Through her instruction, she supports the foundation of skills and technique that will aid in students’ creative and artistic journey.
