Describe the work you submitted for merits.

The work I submitted is a lot of character-based digital art, many that just practice basic principles of animation but also portray the type of art and genres I like. I generally explore and embrace my Mexican heritage through my art and intend to keep doing that with my future art.

Why did you decide to come to MCAD?

I came to MCAD for the opportunity to really grow and prosper as an artist, both in improving my skills and the networking opportunities MCAD gives me.

What's next for your practice? Anything you're really excited to make?

The next thing I'm really excited for is my senior project. If it all goes well, I'll produce a pilot episode for a Wild West animated action show I want to make.

Favorite thing about college life (so far)?

My favorite things about college so far are the friends I've made and the independence I've found while being here.

What inspires you?

My main inspirations come from a lot of classic early 2000's kids cartoons, a big artistic inspiration of mine being Genndy Tartovosky.

Do you have a favorite piece you've made? Describe it!

An older animation that is still probably my favorite in how it turned out is a Halo fan-animation where a group of Sci-Fi rebels get attacked by an army of men who drop in pods from the sky.

Anything you're obsessed with at the moment?

Anything Wild Western :)

Lastly, do you have a favorite question we didn't ask? Tell us and answer it!

A fun question I think is what's your favorite food from the MCAD Bistro. My personal favorite is the BBQ burger.
