Blake Releases What Kind of Collage Is That?

Katie Blake ’97 releases her recently published book What Kind Of Collage Is That? on Amazon. In addition, the book features a collage by the late George Morrison ’43.

The art we call collage today dates back to at least as early at the 10th century with Wayang Kulit (arguably earlier with Tholu Bommatala), followed by 12th century Tsugigami, 13th century Quodlibets, and 14th century Commonplace books just to name a few. This versatile medium crosses format from text and textiles to sound and thought—each with a unique name and technique.
