Martinez’s “Braiding Histories” at the Chicago Cultural Center

Victoria Martinez ‘10 is exhibiting her first big institutional show, Braiding Histories, at the Chicago Cultural Center. Martinez’s solo exhibition collaborates with Art Design Chicago, a citywide program highlighting Chicago’s artistic heritage and creative communities. 

Drawing inspiration from the body and the urban environment, Martinez showcases work varying in materials and scale reminiscent of architecture and graffiti. In addition to the exhibition, Martinez will present an artist talk on Wednesday, April 10 at the Chicago Cultural Center.
