Kardboard Kingdom: The Magic of Medieval Art (in person)

Hear ye hear ye! Explore the art and fantasy of medieval times with art projects that draw from the worlds of castles, knights, kings, queens, jousts, and more. Ages 9–12

Create glorious dragons and whimsical fairy sculptures, translucent stained glass and mini catapults for a friendly battle. Explore embossing, calligraphy and 3D construction. After a field trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Art to research medieval art, students design a shield that tells a personal story. On the last day of class, families and friends will be invited to storm the classroom and battle mythical creatures for an exciting exhibition of student work.

Open to students ages 9-12. MCAD strictly adheres to these age guidelines and is unable to allow exceptions.
