Professor Emeritus Elizabeth Erickson is currently presenting her newest works at the Form + Content Gallery in Minneapolis.

The Laughter of Nature focuses on her new painting works. In her gestural works, intense in color and nuanced in tone and stroke, she seeks intention and welcomes serendipity, opening to meaning, spirit, and the sense of discovery. In her In the Boat series, the movement of the strokes simulates the experience of being in a small boat on big water, and in her nine-foot Temple to the Ebb and Flow, she plays with shape and gesture to approach a sacred geometry.

"As an artist," Erickson has stated, "I am primarily interested in the rhythms of human living, how this can become art that reveals the experience and aspiration of the soul, unique to each individual."
