Starting from my personal journey as an O1B immigrant and a chronically ill artist and curator, I work with multimedia installations, photography, storytelling, public art and more to produce social change. In my individual practice, I research non binary, interconnected, and interdisciplinary ways of healing and care. I also contribute to CarryOn Homes, an artistic collective that centers stories of immigration to Minnesota. My artistic and curatorial projects have been exhibited at the Walker Art Center, Mana Contemporary Chicago, the Rochester Art Center, the Gordon Parks Gallery, among other institutions. Recent achievements include a 2024 - 2025 MCAD Jerome Fellowship, a 2023-2024 University of Minnesota Liberal Arts Hub Residency, a residency with Second Shift Studio (2022-2023).TEACHING PHILOSOPHY MENTORSHIPCollaboration is core to my artistic practice. I approach mentoring, teaching and curatorial work as a conversation: with care and reciprocity. I am excited to work with artists who are driven, open to the new possibilities, and strive to build a sustainable and successful practice. As an MFA alumn, a former international student, and an immigrant creative, I am invested in connecting others to the resources, people and places that make this artistic community nurturing and vibrant.
